Why it exists

Nobody wins Harris County alone

Every cycle, dozens of campaigns in this county build the exact same thing from scratch. The same turf cuts. The same walk lists. The same mail house, the same photographer, the same scramble for organizers who are already spoken for. Down-ballot and first-time candidates lose that race before the first door is knocked.

A coordinated campaign fixes the math. One walk universe instead of thirty. One mail drop instead of a dozen half-sized ones. Every dollar that stops paying for duplicate overhead goes back into voter contact — more doors, more calls, more mail, in the precincts where turnout actually decides this county.

After 2024 we mapped turnout precinct by precinct and counted how much county capacity went into work three other campaigns were already doing. In 2025, HCDP, the clubs, allied organizations, and candidates agreed on a single framework any campaign could join. This is that framework, live.

The stakes

The biggest block of Democratic votes in Texas

Harris County is the largest county in the state and the single largest source of Democratic votes in it. Nothing statewide pencils out without this county — and nothing in this county pencils out if we run thirty separate campaigns against the same clock.

A single voter universe, one set of turnout scores, and one live dashboard, at free or reduced cost for eligible campaigns. Every campaign works the same numbers instead of arguing about whose list is right.

Buy into the countywide programs at coordinated rates instead of building your own from zero. Your dollars ride on infrastructure that is already moving.

Organizers across the county

Staff assigned by region so no part of Harris County is an afterthought — from Third Ward and Sunnyside to Alief, Pasadena, Katy, Spring, Humble, and Baytown.

Monthly through the summer, weekly heading into Election Day. Ask questions, bring problems, and hear what's actually working in other races.

The whole program moves together, and briefings get more frequent as Election Day gets closer — so every campaign stays in sync on voter contact, early vote, and GOTV.

All-hands registration push across the county. Every campaign in the program gets turf and materials.

Weekly program calls begin

Orientation, precinct planning, and onboarding new campaigns onto the tools and the voter file.

Voter registration deadline

Last day to register. Every registration drive in the county points at this date.

Early voting

Daily early vote dashboards by precinct, chase lists, and poll greeting across every early voting location.
